As we journey through the Lenten Season, we’re called to slow down, reflect on our faith, and consider how we – the hands and feet of Jesus Christ – are called to bring hope to others. It was likely a similar spiritual reflection that prompted Catholic Charities’ founders, in 1926, to launch what has become Catholic Charities of Omaha.
For the past 100 years, faithful and dedicated servants have answered the call to support the mission of Catholic Charities. It is my prayer that today you will do the same.

Mother Teresa—the namesake of our St. Teresa of Calcutta Campus—once said, “We are all pencils in the hand of God.” Lent invites us to reflect on how we allow God to work through us in love and service. Every night of shelter we provide, each activity for North Omaha’s senior adults, and every marriage-saving counseling session happens when you choose to become the instrument He uses to care for His people. Please stand with us today—our work depends on generous gifts like yours.
