Lenten Mass

Journey Through Lent with Catholic Charities

Lent is a sacred season of reflection, prayer, and preparation leading up to Easter. Rooted in the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert, Lent invites us to deepen our faith, practice self-discipline, and draw closer to Christ through acts of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. It is a time to renew our hearts and minds, aligning our lives more fully with the love and sacrifice of Jesus.

As we embark on this Lenten journey, Catholic Charities invites you to join us for Mass every Wednesday during Lent at 8:30 AM in the Fr. Mel Merwald Chapel, located at St. Teresa of Calcutta Campus at 9223 Bedford Ave, Omaha, NE 68134, beginning with Ash Wednesday, March 5. This is an opportunity to reflect, pray, and strengthen our connection with Christ as a community.

We welcome all to come together in faith and service, embracing the spirit of Lent not only in prayer but also through acts of charity and compassion for those in need.

Offer a Tribute or Prayer Intention

In the spirit of Lent, we invite you to offer up a special intention, prayer, or tribute during our Masses. Whether in memory of a loved one, in gratitude, or as a personal offering, these intentions serve as a meaningful way to unite in faith and reflection during this sacred season.

We welcome all to come together in prayer and service, embracing the spirit of Lent through worship and acts of compassion for those in need.
